Kati is a busy wife and mom to 2 elementary-aged kids. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Technical Communication from Mercer University’s School of Engineering. She’s held a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) for over 10 years. She has spent the last 15 years working in the aerospace industry. Despite her continued professional success, her biggest passion has become empowering people to make positive changes in their day-to-day lives – changes that move the needle for long-term physical and mental wellness.

The seed for this passion was planted in 2016 when she was introduced to essential oils. She began to incorporate oils and other non-toxic products into her home and lifestyle. At the same time, she began running regularly and training for her first half marathon (after hating running most of her life)! She saw so many improvements in her mental and physical health that she decided to start her own essential oil business and founded Runs On Oil. Three half marathons later, she’s now a Silver leader with doTERRA Essential oils and serves a community of hundreds of essential oil users.

In 2020, still longing for more growth and knowledge to empower others in their wellness journey, she completed Integrative Health Coaching training through Duke Integrative Medicine. She’s currently pursuing her National Board Certification through the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NB-HWC). Her expertise in communication and project management has been an incredible asset as she works with people to implement incremental and manageable behavior change.

After a lifetime of yo-yo dieting and struggling to maintain a comfortable weight for her body, Kati has come to understand the battles many people fight finding balance and establishing lasting change. She also understands the challenge for busy parents to make time to focus on their own health. Through her own experience working with health coaches in her training, she has been able to better understand her blocks with maintaining consistency in her fitness and nutrition. She’s also learned how to better manage her daily stress and anxiety. Kati is fascinated with the neuroscience of behavior change and why we struggle to make long-term progress with our health!

Kati is currently offering one-on-one integrative health coaching sessions during the evenings and weekends. It’s important to know that integrative health coaching doesn’t just focus on one area of health – it encompasses the whole mind, body, and spirit. These sessions may be one-time microsessions or recurring sessions. Ideally, she would like to work with you for a period of at least 10-12 weeks to allow time for growth and establish habits that stick.

In these sessions, she will walk you through a process of self discovery to better understand why your health is important to you and what your priorities are in this moment. Most importantly, you’ll walk away with actionable steps that feel realistic and doable.
