As a child, I faced many health challenges, including migraine headaches, hypoglycemia and TMJ with related neck and back pain that motivated me to research alternative methods of healing and explore the healing power of eating whole foods. I am passionate about discovering natural remedies and sharing my findings with others.

It was also during my childhood that I observed learning differences within my family, and my desire to help them inspired me to major in education with a minor in special education at UNT. I enjoyed teaching children with emotional/behavioral disorders and learning differences in HEB for three years. I also taught special education before specializing in Dyslexia Therapy in Southlake Carroll ISD for eight years. In 2000, I went to SMU to further my understanding of dyslexia and received a graduate certificate in Academic Language Therapy and a Master of Education. I was a Dyslexia Therapist from 2000-2005 and the Coordinator of the Dyslexia Program in Southlake.

In May of 2005, I had my first child and transitioned into private Dyslexia Therapy at the Barbara Gordon Montessori School in Colleyville until my third child was born. Since 2011, I have stayed home with my children and assisted my own family members in ARD and 504 meetings, and I have also consulted with and advocated for children with learning differences around the metroplex. My daughter has faced her own challenges with ADHD and, after a head injury in 2015, anger and anxiety. We decided to explore alternative methods of healing for her in a desperate attempt to avoid medication. We discovered Microcurrent Neurofeedback on our journey and after 12 treatments, my daughter’s symptoms improved drastically. My son and I have also benefited from IASIS MCN for our migraine headaches. The success our family has experienced with Microcurrent Neurofeedback was my impetus for getting certified as an IASIS Provider so that I can share with others this holistic approach with no significant side effects.

When I am not cheering on my children in their sports and music events, I love to go on dates with my husband. I am also passionate about serving at church, leading Moms in Prayer, exercising, reading, traveling, and cooking.

What is IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback?
Microcurrent Neurofeedback is a gentle and effective non-invasive treatment that supports the Central Nervous System for better neuroregulating. Five lightweight EEG electrodes are placed at different areas on the head and neck. The position of the electrodes may vary throughout the treatment and in subsequent treatments. Treatments last about 40 minutes after the initial 60 minute intro session. There are six protocol settings in numerous different sensitivity levels that may be selected, depending on how fragile or hardy one’s nervous system is. MCN is faster and more effective than traditional Neurofeedback; therefore, most clients achieve and sustain results after only 10 to 20 treatments.
