Classically trained, Christy graduated from University of Texas Arlington’s prestigious school of nursing with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became a registered nurse in 2012. She joined an elite staff at Parkland Memorial Hospital in the labor and delivery department. Although she loved nursing, Christy felt that she did not have enough time with her patients to educate them on their well being. She went back to UTA and completed her Master of Science in Nursing with honors as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Christy is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Christy began working in orthopedic medicine with the team physicians for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars, Dr. Jesse Even, MD and Dr. Shane Seroryer, MD. Then she began working with Dr. Tony Rector, DO at Southlake Integrative Wellness Center in June 2017 and this is when she started truly planting her roots in integrative medicine and her passion grew deeply. She is now working with Dr. John Gonino, MD, at Gonino Center for Healing in Rockwall.

Christy likes to focus on disease prevention by gaining a deeper understanding of her patients’ lifestyle and environment rather than just their symptoms. This integrated, whole-person approach helps her patients tune their lifestyle to focus on mind, body, and spirit. Christy prides herself in looking beyond the symptoms of illness and disease. She loves to educate her patients, empowering them to take positive control of their health. Christy enjoys organic gardening, cooking, yoga, pilates, volleyball, basketball, being in nature, essential oils, homeopathy, naturopathy, music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
