It’s interesting how bliss or ecstasy are sometimes referred to as altered states of consciousness when they are actually natural states of consciousness.
Stress, on the other hand, however “normal”, is actually not natural. It’s an alteration. It is generated/created… in our minds.
We don’t have to create bliss. Whenever we let go of enough stress or resistance then our natural states like bliss and joy are more present and allowed to flow.
The more we love ourselves and the more we let go of control, the less stress we experience and the more our natural states like bliss are present.
Much of what “normal” consists of in our world is actually not normal or natural.
So many people live in a constant state of stress that it has become “normal”.
Even worse is to form a belief that stress is just “life” and the way it is.
A rare being who is in bliss comes along and may seem like he or she is abnormal.
Bliss, joy, relaxation, inspiration are all natural states that we don’t create, but rather we become available to them… we allow them as we surrender into them.
