The root of the word education comes from the Latin word “Educe” which means to draw out from within. The primary collective consciousness around education is still a model based primarily on putting information in and regurgitating it… very much like a computer.
While this type of knowledge has its relevance and value, it may lack spirit… which is the foundation of our power.
When we learn things we are inspired to learn we are in-spirit and become empowered because the knowledge is relevant and meaningful on the deepest level of our being and also supportive to our higher purpose.
Meditation connects us to our inner being and innate intelligence. Knowledge is of the mind intelligence is of the spirit.
Meditation awakens us to Infinite Intelligence that exists beyond the mind. It helps us learn about ourselves and life more deeply. It helps us learn about learning itself and how we learn… which is, in a way, more powerful than what we learn.
I wasn’t really interested in school or considered myself to be very smart when I was in school. At the time, I considered that a weakness. But later it proved to be a blessing.
After college, when I started meditating and awakening to my true nature I awakened an intelligence inside me that was much more powerful than knowledge.
Once I re-discovered how I personally learned things I got re-inspired by traditional methods of acquiring knowledge.
Nowadays, when I open myself to knowing something, I learn very quickly, often through accessing knowledge via direct cognition or “downloading”. You can do the same. And meditation and learning to live in the Flow can speed up this process for you.
