How to Successfully Detox Your Brain, Blood, and Kidneys

I love this month because I get to start planting again. One of my favorite things to do is to be in my backyard planting flowers, watering, pulling weeds; “tending to the garden”, so to speak.

What a fantastic topic that Ronit has asked us to write about this month – detox is a way of life. Amen Ronit. Our country burns 19,000 gallons of gasoline in 1 second. So we eat toxins, drink them, and breathe them.

Not to mention insult from gadolinium from the MRI scanner, and thallium from the CT scanner. All of this is complicated by the fact that 85% of the population has a mutation to a gene that codes for an enzyme called MTHFR. This enzyme is important for proper detoxification of the various organ systems of the body. So, if you are like me and are in the 85% of the population that carries this mutation, it is like trying to detox with one arm tied behind your back.

Prevention is a big catch word these days.

But prevention encompasses a lot more than don’t smoke and get enough rest. Two of the primary players in prevention are nutrition (different topic for a different day) and detoxification.

There are different means by which various organs of our bodies are detoxified.

In other words, the way that the skin, muscle, deep tissues and fat are detoxified , differ from  the way that the liver is detoxified. The way that the mouth is detoxed is different from the way that the gallbladder is detoxified. It is likely that other

The program at our office includes the above, as well as detoxification of the lymphatic system and the small intestine.

What I want to talk about today is detoxification of the blood, brain, and kidneys through a process called intravenous chelation. Chelation therapy given iv removes toxins from these organs.

I have heard people say, “well I take oral chelation.”  That’s fine. Whatever your oral chelator is can help to remove toxins you are eating and drinking from your intestines.

But to remove toxins from your brain, blood, and kidneys requires iv chelation.  The primary diseases we are attempting to prevent with this therapy are cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Toxins cause cancer, and an acid pH which is where cancer grows good.  On March 8 of 2013, Dr Oz’s guest was Dr Neil Barnard, a doctor who studies Alzheimer’s all day long. Dr Oz asked him what he thought caused Alzheimer’s. Dr Barnard said, “I think it’s metals.” Things such as: lead, aluminum, cadmium, cesium, thallium, antimony, etc.  We have the ability to test you for these things in our office, and more importantly, have the specific iv treatments to get rid of them.

For example, if you have ever had an MRI with contrast, I’ve never seen a patient who wasn’t gadolinium toxic. If you have had a CT scan with contrast, you are likely thallium toxic. IV chelation can remove these toxins from your body, helping to prevent the diseases that they cause.

In our office we have three kinds of iv chelation. We serve many cancer patients.

Many have extremely high levels of platinum (from cisplatin chemotherapy) or gadolinium from the MRI scanner.  We have in our arsenal, so to speak, a very strong chelator for iv use that has been approved for terrorism countermeasures, ie things like plutonium and Americium.

God bless you all as we head towards spring. Thank you for supporting My Wellbeing Compass and be sure to share what you have learned with your loved ones.

Distress or Chronic Stress

Distress or chronic stress is uncontrollable, prolonged, or overwhelming stress. Once stress becomes distress, the body manages to survive though not always to thrive. For example, when faced with periods of chronic stress, the body’s immune system function is lowered, and the digestive, excretory, and reproductive systems no longer function the way they should. In a state of distress, the cells of the immune system (and other body systems) are unable to respond normally and produce levels of inflammation which increase the risk of further health issues.

Homeostasis

Homeostasis refers to your body’s ability to regulate itself and maintain a comparatively stable internal environment despite external and internal conditions and events.

Your body is designed to be in a state of homeostasis, where all the systems within are functioning optimally.

Stressor

Stressor is anything that is perceived by the body as challenging, threatening or demanding.

Health Story

In the context of My Wellbeing Compass, your “Health Story” represents the combination of your dis-eases, conditions, symptoms and the history that binds them together. It is multi-layered and multi-dimensional. Unearthing and resolving the root causes at the core of your Health Story is the only way to truly rewrite this Story.

Natural Self-repair Mechanisms

The body is made up of intelligent, living cells that are dynamically connected. They communicate and just know what to do and when to do it in any given situation. They grow, replicate, repair, and age. Every 90 days, the body has a new bloodstream; every year, it manufactures billions of new cells; colon cells refresh every 4 days; the skin is entirely regenerated every 2-3 weeks; white blood cells regenerate in about 1 year; the liver renews itself at least once every 2 years; and the skeleton replaces its cells entirely every 10 years.

You are an incredibly complex, interactive, and dynamic living organism that is well-equipped with self-repair mechanisms that can fight infections, eliminate toxins, fix damaged DNA, destroy cancer cells, and even slow down aging.

This natural self-healing ability (also referred to as cellular intelligence or body’s innate intelligence) explains spontaneous remissions from seemingly “incurable” diseases.
